The Group held a Harry Potter themed camp in the excellent Scout Hall at Troon from 1-3 November. The camp was aimed at Cubs and Beavers but some Scouts and Explorers also attended to help with the programme and to do some of their own activities. A total of 40 Group members attended.

Programme highlights included team selection using the ‘sorting hat’; spooky arts and crafts; potion making; a Hogwarts banquet; a campfire; and themed games. The Scouts practiced for the District cooking competition while the Explorers held a hike, visited Laserquest and built two impressive pioneering bridges. Everyone attended a fantastic public fireworks display.

A good time was had by all. Thanks to Chris and the other leaders for organising it and thanks to parents for help with transport.
